Education
After graduating the Kyoto University further studied at its paediatrics section.
Career
Served as a physician in the Central Hospital in Kurashiki City before he was appointed professor at his alma mater (1931). Received his doctorate (1923) and studied in Europe and America (from 1927). Became chief of the Pediatrics Section of the university hospital then first director of Kyoto University’s Tuberculosis Research Institute.
