Employed by To-o Nippo and became director of said newspaper (1940). Elected as Aomori Prefectural Assemblyman (1940) and member of the House of Representatives (1941). Elected member of the House of Representatives running on the Democratic Party ticket (1945). Became director of Hirosaki Mutual Trust Bank (1949) and president and director of Radio Aomori Broadcasting Company, Ltd. (1953).
Also was a director of To-o Nippo, Public Utilities Commissioner of Local Labor Council, Aomori Prefecture. Director of Japan Commercial Broadcasting Company Federation. Elected member of House of Representatives on a Democratic ticket (1955).
