Career
She served ex-Emperor Gotoba and became a nun after Michitomo died. As nun, she was called Saga Zenni because she lived in Saga. Twenty-nine odes composed by her are contained in Shin Kokinwakashu and many others in the waka anthologies compiled by Imperial order.
Connections
She was a granddaughter of Shunzei (Toshinari) Fujiwara but she was officially registered as adopted daughter of Shunzei.
Married Michitomo Minamoto. Michitomo later married Azechi-no-Tsubone, wet nurse to Emperor Tsuchimikado and Shunzeikyono-Musume left him and lived separately at Oshikoji, Kyoto.
