Bai Si Hong was born on October 17, 1937 in the ancient capital of China, Kaifeng.
Si Hong Bai graduated from the Faculty of Philology of the Leningrad State University in 1961.
After graduating from the Faculty of Philology of the Leningrad State University, Si Hong Bai left for China, where in 1961-1963 he worked as a teacher of the history of foreign theater and drama at the Anhui Art Institute. In 1963, he became a teacher of Russian literature in Hefei Pedagogical Institute, then worked as a senior lecturer, assistant professor of Anhoy State University (1970-1988).
In 1988, Bai Si Hong became a professor at the Academy of Social Sciences of China, and in October - the leading stylist of the Novosti Press Agency ("Novosti"). As a professor he teached several well-known in China philologists and interpreters of Russian literature who translated into Chinese and published works of Gogol and Dostoevsky, as well as many other works of Russian classics and contemporary literature.
As an author, he published a large number of scientific works on the Russian theater and literature.
As a compiler and editor he published in Chinese the following editions: "Library of Modern Soviet Literature" (20 vols., 1980-1987), "Selected Foreign Lyrical Prose" (11 vols., 1981-1986), "Correspondence of V. Lenin and M. "Gorky" (1981), "Proletkulty, Materials and Articles" (1983).
In Russia Bai Si Hong translated into Chinese and published three books in the publishing house "Novosti", "Soviet literature and art-89" (1990), "Dedicated to the Muse" (1990), "9 days in the city on the Neva" (1990).
Currently, he is an assistant Vice President, Asian affairs manager in the International Union of Economists (since 1993), adviser of the Chinese Bank in Russia (since 1995), professor, member of the Audit Commission of the International Business Academy (since 1997) , chairman of the Chinese community of Moscow (since 1997). Bai Si Hong continues to study and translate Russian literature.
Moreover, he conducts a comparative study of the Russian and South-East Asia economy and finance, he is the editor of the Chinese edition of the "Bulletin of Russian Finance" for the Bank of China, writes an essay for the Hong Kong press.
As an expert, Bai Si Hong works in the field of cultural and economic cooperation among Russia and Asian countries.
