Sidney is an American architect. He noted church architect, for many years he practiced in partnership with William Nicklas under the name of Nicklas and Badgley.

Education

Sidney studied architecture in Toronto and in Europe.

Career

Sidney migrated to the United States when he was eighteen years old. Some years later he settled in Cleve land and established an office there. His early works included a number of ' public buildings in Canada, and while specializing in ecclesiastical work he designed many churches in Cleveland and elsewhere in the country. Among the most noteworthy examples of his work were: the Woodward Avenue First Methodist Church at Cleveland; First Methodist at Wellville, O.; First Presbyterian, Howell, Mich.; First Presbyterian at Wichita, Kans.; Sunnyside Presbyterian, South Bend, Ind.; Pilgrim Congregational, Cleveland, and the Reid Memorial Church at Richmond, Ind.

Achievements

  • Sidney is an architect of a number of public buildings in Canada, and while specializing in ecclesiastical work he designed many churches in Cleveland and elsewhere in the country.
