Education
He studied piano with Rosl Schmid and Alfons Kontarsky, musicology, philosophy, art history in Munich and Salzburg.
Career
In 1981-1983 he was lecturer in musicology and piano in Munich, was professor of piano at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg, of musicology in Salzburg. And is now Chancellor of the Hochschule für Musik München.
