MENDL, Sigismund Ferdinand was born in 1866. Son of late Ferdinand Mendl.

Education

Studied at Harrow and University College Oxford. Bachelor of Arts 1887. 2nd class Honours Jurisprudence.

Master of Arts 1890.

Career

Barrister Inner Temple, called 1888, but does not practise. Partner in F. Mendl & Company, merchants, Ex change Chambers, St. Mary Axe, East Central (postal district). Director of the National Discount Company and the Metropolitan Life Assurance Society.

President of the London Corn Trade Association. Contested Isle of Wight v. Sir R. Webster, 1892.

And Plymouth, 1895; Member of Parliament Plymouth, 1898-1900.
