Simion Motz is no stranger to Christian suffering within his Romanian homeland. After losing a teaching position, because of his love for Christ, Motz became an active preacher and prolific author. His messages quickly drew the attention of the Romanian Secret Police, who brutally abducted him from his home in December 1958, while his wife and four young children watched in horror. Exhausted from 60 days of terrifying interrogation, Simon was finally sentenced to 17 years at hard labor, along with civil degradation and confiscation of all his property. Beaten but not broken, he was miraculously released after only four years of the prison nightmare. Despite the further persecution and harassment which followed his release, yet another miracle allowed Motz to emigrate to the West. But the voices of those he left behind still haunt him: "Don't forget us...we are depending on you". These words have driven Simion Motz to tell their story - and his own - in this book.
