Daniel is the inventor of a folding PDA keyboard. Moixa licensed the design for use with PDAs including Palm, Ipaq, and Blackberry. See usbcell. He received a degree in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University, where he was a student at Christ"s College.

He is founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Moixa Group, which includes the Moixa Energy subsidiary. As founder and Chief Executive Officer of Moixa Energy, in September 2006 he brought to market an Associate of Arts nickel metal hydride battery with a built-in Universal Serial Business plug allowing it to be recharged without a custom charger.
