Born in 1934, the State employee held several posts of responsibility later crown with Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals. Once out of government, he bounced back as Prime Minister. That was from April 9th, 1992 to September 19th, 1996. His " peace broker " role in the political upheavals of the early nineties won him much repute.
