  • Achievements include first to show by conducting wind-tunnel tests on a scaled model and analyzing the data, that the spin of an airplane can exhibit behaviors typical of chaotic motions. First to contribute to the first numerical determination of the complete mean response of a turbulent channel flow to small external disturbances by employing Direct Numerical Simulation. Research in unstable waves forming during the wire-coating process can be controlled or even eliminated.

Development of conducted wind-tunnel test in supersonic flows and showed that infrared thermography is a very appropriate tool for the study of laminar-to-turbulent boundary-layer transition.
