Sita Ram Mehra

Sita Ram Mehra was born on August 20, 1905 in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan.

Education

Sita Ram Mehra graduated from Roorkee University in 1927.

Career

Sita Ram Mehra set up a Laboratory for soil research in Lahore (1944) and Karnal (1947). In 1947-1949, he was Engineer-in-Charge of Construction of 4000 houses in Cement Soil. It was the largest project of its kind in the world. In 1960, Sita Ram Mehra became a Colombo Plan Expert to advise Government of Ceylon on Roads. Mehra also wrote many articles and research papers.
