Career

He averaged 13.2 points per game and 11.0 rebounds per game in his career and appeared in the 1969 American Bar Association All-Star Game. Thoren was elected to the "Illini Men"s Basketball All-Century Team" in 2004.

Achievements

• Before playing in the American Bar Association Thoren played in Italy for Simmenthal Milano together with Bill Bradley and won the 1965-1966 European Champions Cup.

Membership

A 6"10" center from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Thoren played three seasons (1967–1970) in the American Basketball Association as a member of the Minnesota Muskies and Miami Floridians.
