Career
In 1973, he starred as the lead actor in the movie Masud Rana, appearing under his original name, Masud Parvez. First for Ojante (1996), and second for Sahoshi Manush Chai (2003). Rana was born in Dhaka.
In 1971, he participated in the war against Pakistan.
Rana did not originally aspire to become a film actor but was asked to act in the film. In 1973, he acted in Masud Rana, playing the role of the hero.
In 1974, he took the name Sohel Rana for his stage name. Since then he has been known as Sohel Rana in the Dhallywood film industry.
He has acted in many successful films.
