Soichi Fujita, Japanese professional baseball player. Achievements include winning the Japan Series Championship (2005); being a member of the Japanase International team which won the first ever World Baseball Classic 2006; pitching five straight seasons with 50+ games pitched was third-highest in Nippon Professional Baseball League history. Recipient Middle Reliever of the Year, 2000.

Career

Fujita was part of the Japanese national baseball team in the 2006 World Baseball Classic. He pitched every game of his career in relief and holds the Japanese record for most pitching appearances.
