Career
Growing up in Bienfait, Hirsch and Estevan, Saskatchewan, he showed precocity as a mathematician and received his doctorate from the University of Toronto, writing a dissertation on the theory of numbers. He worked as a statistician and economist for the United States. State Department and for the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration (United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration). In 1942, he worked for the Select Committee Investigating National Defense Migration of the United States. House of Representatives called the Tolan Committee.
In 1947, he moved out of Washington, District of Columbia to a farm in Virginia.
After farming for eight years, he moved to Los Angeles, California and purchased a furniture factory. He became an inventor and product developer, and successfully manufactured the Tyne-Tot Weaning Cup, a plastic cup designed for babies.
He died in Los Angeles, aged 76.
