Career
He reached the semi-final at the 1993 World Championships, and also competed at the 1992 and 1996 Olympic Games. Amegatcher co-holds the Ghanaian record in the 4 x 400 metres relay. In college, Amegatcher was a 3-time National Collegiate Athletic Association All-American for the Alabama Crimson Tide in the 400-metres and 4 x 400 metres relay, and participated in setting the school record in the 4X400 metre relay at the University of Alabama in 1993.
