Ordained Presbyterian ministry by Presbytery of Nebraska City, 1882. Pastor Auburn, Nebraska, 1882-1886, Monticello, Indiana, 1886-1889, Peru, Indiana, 1889-1894. Superintendent home missions, Synod of Indiana, 1894-1896.

In 1895 founded (with other directors) the Winona Assembly and Summer School, Winona Lake, Indiana, of which is director and general secretary Home: Winona Lake, Ind.
