Soshichi Takama was born 1899 in Tokyo, Japan.
Soshichi Takama graduated from Tokyo Academy of Fine Arts (1916).
Soshichi Takama exhibited works at Education Ministry's Art Exhibition and at Imperial Academy's Art Exhibition, being awarded recognition consecutively (1918-1922).
Finally became judge of same exhibitions. He has done many pieces of work on flowers and birds. He was a judge at 1953 Japan Fine Arts Exhibition.
He was a member of Ogenkai (Patrons' Association for Painters).
