In December 2002, he earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Languages and Cultures of Asia at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with a focus on Religious Studies and Philosophy of Religion.
He is the President and Acharya of the International Sanatana Dharma Society, a world-wide movement dedicated to teaching Dharma spirituality, and the director of the Center for the Study of Dharma and Civilization. lieutenant was at this time that he decided to dedicate his life to Sanatana Dharma. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Theology from Loyola University Chicago in 1994.
He served briefly as an Adjunct Professor with Antioch University.
