Career
St. Genevieve was the patroness of Paris, whose life is known from the much disputed Vita Sanctae Genovefae. She comforted and aided the people of Paris at the invasion of the Huns in a.d. 451, and built the Church of St. Denis. The Pantheon in Paris was originally built (1764-1790) to replace the sixth-century church over her tomb and was again assigned to her cult from 1806 to 1830 and 1851 to 1885.
