Career
His most popular song was Lela Vranjanka. Lela Vranjanka was recorded in 1972. Its melody is very similar to the instrumental Miserlou by Dick Dale featured in Quentin Tarantino"s Pulp Fiction, both being based on the old Middle-Eastern song, Misirlou, whose true origin is difficult to trace.
In 2007, he was awarded the Special Lifetime Award by the Serbian Ministry of Culture for his efforts on preserving Serbian music tradition.
