Career
Geldart ran for a seat to the Alberta Legislature in the 1963 Alberta general election. He ran as a Social Cr candidate in the new electoral district of Edmonton West. The race for the new district was hotly contested with Geldart defeating three other candidates with 41% of the popular vote.
Geldart retired from provincial politics at dissolution of the assembly in 1967.
