Stefano Ogliari Badessi was born in 1984 in Crema, Lombardy, Italy.

Education

Stefano Ogliari Badessi received a diploma from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera (Brera Academy) in 2006. He then attended the Academy of Sevilla, Spain. Badessi has developed his skills, collaborating with architects, photographers, and designers as well.

Career

The start of Stefano Ogliari Badessi’s artistic career can be counted from the early 2000s when he presented to the public his first installations and sculptures. Since then, he has shown both in group and solo exhibitions, throughout his native Italy, China and the United States.

Badessi has also worked in the fashion industry as a set designer at different events and installations of famous Milan brands.

In 2014, the artist spent six months in China invited by François-Henri Pinault as an artist in residence to the Swatch Art Peace Hotel, Shanghai. The project that Badessi worked on during his residence was demonstrated at the 56 Venice Biennale.

One of the recent projects of the artist is ‘Inner Space’ that he made for the 2016 Art Basel Miami. The artifacts of the project give the viewers a possibility to explore their interior part which somehow symbolizes our subconscious.
