Achievements include discovery of quantum effects due to radiation pressure; development of quantum theory of feedback; invention of novel protocol for quantum cryptography; invention of information theoretic characterization of quantum memory channels. Recipient Young Researcher Award, Italian Ministry University and Research, 2001-2002. Member of Italy's National Institute of Nuclear Physics.
