Strathdee’s work has been published in and covered by the popular media including The Financial Post, Maclean’s, Canadian Broadcasting Company, British Broadcasting Corporation’s The World, KPBS and Inside Mexico.
Strathdee has been awarded more than $30 million in funding to conduct research studies involving marginalized populations in Mexico. She received recognition for her many contributions to disease prevention through optimal research projects, including the Award for Leadership in International Collaboration from the National Institute on Drug Abuse in (2009).
