Career
1913-1929 worked for Geological Committee in Leningrad. Surveyed oil deposits on Emba and Sakhalin. 1929-1931 director, 1932-1938 deputy director, 1938-1946 consultant, Leningrad Institute of Oil Geology.
1946-1947 department head, Oil Institute, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Academy of Sciences. 1947-1949 director, Sakhalin Research Base, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Academy of Sciences. 1949-1950 Presidium chairman, Sakhalin Branch, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Academy of Sciences.
1950-1958 laboratory head, Oil Institute, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Academy of Sciences. 1958-1959 laboratory head, Institute of Geology and Combustible Minerals. Did research on oil survey methods and the mapping of deposits with the help of wells.
