Stephen R. Barnett received a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws from Harvard University in 1957 and 1962. He was admitted to the bar in 1966.
Career
Stephen R. Barnett began to work as a law clerk to judge at The United States of America Circuit Court of Appeals. From 1963 to 1964 he was a law clerk to Justice Brennan at the Supreme Court of the United States Court. In 1977 Stephen was appointed as a deputy solicitor at General United States Department of Justice. Since 1979 he has been a professor of law at the University of California-Berkeley.
