Career
Surprisingly, Stephen Beitzel, who is nowadays a professional software engineer, started his career (in 1990) in capacity of a gift coordinator. For two years he worked for Mount Zion Health Systems, where Beitzel processed donations, worked with donor database and performed minor IT support.
In 1993 in office of an interface developer he started his career in the sphere of IT. Beitzel was employed by the famous Apple corporation. He developed interface templates for Apple's eWorld service.
After that for a year and a half he worked as a software engineer for Salamander Interactive. Beitzel's position included working with a small team of developers and creating different web/database applications, for instance ActivChemistry.
In 1997 Beitzel got a job at iOwn corporation. He developed applications in C++ for an online mortgage broker. He was responsible for all the applications on the real-estate portion of the website, including a property valuation tool, a property listing search, and various calculators.
In 2002 Stephen Beitzel started working for Envolved. He designed a website to organize large numbers of small donations into small numbers of large donations, and allow charities and donors both to benefit from the speed and searchability of a website.
What is more Beitzel was one of the senior software engineers an LinkedIn. His job was to develop Java servlets.
In the next ten years Stephen continued working for big corporations as a software engineer, but nowadays he is on sabbatical. He decided to spend more time with his family an devote more time for his hobby: bagpiping.
