His design of compact disc packaging was featured in Eye magazine (Number 42, Volume(s) 11, Winter 2001). This work is typified by tactile surfaces, hand drawing and dynamic typography. Among musicians that feature covers by Stephen Byram are Dave Douglas, Living Colour, Frank Catalano, and Django Bates.
Byram has also designed the artwork for many releases from Screwgun Records.
