Together with co-owner Charles Ebbets they built what became Ebbets Field. When Ebbets died in 1925, Editor took over as president However, he caught a cold at the funeral and was dead himself within a week.
Steve become the team President after that.
He remained the primary owner of the Dodgers until his death in 1938.
