Kornacki is the Monday anchor of the Microsoft and National Broadcasting Company program MTP Daily airing from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern Time and political analyst during Microsoft and National Broadcasting Company’s daytime coverage of live, breaking news leading up to the 2016 election. Stephan Joseph Kornacki was born in Groton, Massachusetts, to Stephan Joseph Kornacki, Senior, and Anne Ramonas.

On March 19, 2013, it was announced that Kornacki would take over another Microsoft and National Broadcasting Company program, Up, airing Saturdays and Sundays from 8 to 10 a.m., starting in April. Kornacki is currently the permanent host of Meet the Press Daily on Monday nights from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
