Career
He is an Sáme author, who writes his books in Lule Sáme language (julevsámegiella) and Norwegian language (norsk). His first book, the poetry collection O, Oarjjevuodna, which was published in 1983, was the first collection of poems ever in Lule Sáme language, and also the first book in Lule Sáme language since Anta Pirak´s book Jåhttee saamee viessom, which was published 46 years earlier, in 1937, and was the first book ever written of a Lule Sáme in Lule Sáme language. Children´s books 1992: "GIHTTSE, GÁJTTSA, BÅHTTJE", with photographs by Kjell Ove Storvik (about two small boys (Andreas and Matias) living on a goat farm, in Lule Sáme language) 1999: Báhkoståhkusa, with illustrations by Sigrid Kristine Knutsen ("word games" following the Lule Sáme alphabet and sounds, in Lule Sáme language) 1999: Biehtár ja Duommá jávren stulliba, with photographs by Kjell Ove Storvik (about an old man (Biehtár) and a teenager boy (Duommá) fishing trout in a mountain lake, in Lule Sáme language) 2000: Biehtár ja Duommá háhkabivdon, with photographs by Kjell Ove Storvik (about an old man (Biehtár) and a teenager boy (Duommá) fishing redfish in the sea, in Lule Sáme language) 2010: Gáhtto mij máhtij vájmojt suddadit / Gaahtoe mij meehti vaajmojde sjilkehtidh / Bussá mii máhtii váimmuid suddadit, with illustrations by Katarina Pirak Sikku (about "the cat who could melt hearts", in Lule Sáme language with parallel texts in South Saemien language and North Sámi language) 2011: Katten som kunne smelte hjerter, with illustrations by Katarina Pirak Sikku (about "the cat who could melt hearts", in Norwegian = parallel text of Gáhtto mij máhtij vájmojt suddadit / Gaahtoe mij meehti vaajmojde sjilkehtidh / Bussá mii máhtii váimmuid suddadit (2010)).
