Career
He had represented Goregaon (Vidhan Sabha constituency) in 1990, 2004 and 2009. On 5th December 2014 Sri Subhash Desai took charge as the Cabinet Minister of Industries Maharashtra State Government after the Shiv Sena Bharatiya Janata Party allied. He is also guardian minister of Mumbai.
He hails from a Maratha family.
