Education
He graduated from Hokkaido University in 1918. Taught as an assistant professor at his alma mater (from 1920) and then studied in Europe and America.
Career
In 1928 was appointed professor of Taihoku (Taipeh) University and served also as dean of Agriculture Department of the same university. After the war was repatriated in 1948 and became president of the Agricultural University of Hyogo Prefecture in 1949.
