He graduated in 2013, studying in Fashion and lifestyle accessories design and also did research and project on Indian handicraft jewellery.

Born and brought up in Odisha, Meher was studying to graduate in Engineering, when he decided to change his career path and applied for the National Institute of Fashion Technology in Bangalore. In 2012 he had helped organize the annual Odisha festival, Nuakhai, incorporating a fashion show. Around 2013, Meher began working with Eros International, a Bollywood production company.
In September 2013 he presented his first design collection with Sambalpuri handloom fabric with the theme of "Folk Fashion".
His designs blend ikat designed fabric with cotton and silk and are known as Sambalpuri. He launched his second line of collections under the name of "Story of Tradition" in December 2013.
In June 2014 Meher launched another line named Noor-East-Tilottama, a range of designs for the mass market. Meher has been involved in the promotion of khadi products under the direction of the Odisha Khadi and the Village Industry Board.
In October 2015, he published a fictional story based on his own life titled Dreams Beyond Grades, which describes the importance of pursuing one"s dreams beyond the grading and point systems of schools and colleges.
