She rose to fame in the 2010s with roles in films and television shows such as Junction, Kings, Royal Pains and Law & Order: Criminal Intent. At age 8, Summer was bitten by the acting bug. Summer started her career in the classic holiday play "Frosty The Snowman" at Atkins Porter Elementary School.
After her high school graduation, Summer moved to New York City to study acting.
She attended AMDA, the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, on a scholarship for one year. Next year, she enrolled at Circle in the Square Theatre School – Two Year Conservatory Program.
Upon graduating at age 21, Summer began to work professionally. Soon after, Summer was cast in off Broadway plays, independent films and commercials.
Additionally, Summer acted in television shows including Kings, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, and Delocated.
Summer was active all over the country in theater and national/international advertising campaigns including Playtex, Personal Computer Richards and others Summer"s break thru performance came in Junction, where she portrayed the crack addict Kari. Leveraging her independent film experience, Summer is actively developing and producing several independent films and off Broadway plays including “I Do, I Do”, “Hear My Heart”, “The Story of Milo and Annie” and “Consent”.
