She also has won Sri Lankan Women's National Chess Championship title for 10 times (1980, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1995 and 1997). She won this gold medal at the 30th Chess Olympiad, organized by FIDE and which took place between June 7 and June 25, 1992, at the Philippine International Convention Center in Manila, Philippines.
