Expedition against the Chamkanni Khel Afridis. Operations in the Bazar Valley, 1897 (despatches, medal, 2 clasps, promoted Surgeon-Lieutenant-Colonel).
Colonel, 1905, and Administrative Medical Officer in India. Principal Medical Officer, Mohmand Expedition, 190S (despatches, medal and clasp).
Surgeon-General, 1909. Principal Medical Officer Southern Command since 1909.
Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons England. Club: Junior United Service.
