She has taught at the School of Visual Arts Master of Fine Arts in Art Criticism and Writing program
In 2015, "Photograms and Altered Photos from the 1970s" were exhibited at Southfirst Gallery in Brooklyn. She has had one solo show at Accola Griefen Gallery (2013) and seven solo shows at “Artist in Residence” Gallery Gallery in New New York She has a Bachelor of Arts from Barnard College and a Master of Arts in Art from Hunter College.
Bee has been teaching at the University of Pennsylvania since 2012 and at Pratt Institute since 2014.
In 2014, Susan Bee was awarded a Guggenheim fellowship. Bee is the co-editor, with Mira Schor, of M/East/A/North/I/North/G: An Anthology of Artist"s Writings, Theory, and Criticism, with writings by over 100 artists, critics, and poets, published by Duke University Press in 2000.
She was the coeditor of M/East/A/North/I/North/G: A Journal of Contemporary Art Issues from 1986–1996 and is currently the co-editor of M/East/A/North/I/North/G Online.
