Yingling, Susan Lea was born on November 9, 1954 in Hamilton, Ohio, United States. Daughter of Walter Alonzo and Ruth Marjorie Milligan.


Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education, Kent State University, 1977.


Teaching assistant art education Kent State University, 1977—1978. Teacher visual art Margaret Park School, Akron, Ohio, 1978—1993, Akron Public Schools Legion Literature Camp, 1982—1994, Camp Invention, 1991—1993, Miller South School Visual and Performing Arts, since 1993. With Butler Institute American Art, 1978.

Advisor, sponsor chapter 240 National Junior Art Honorary Society, since 1993. Member Site Improvement Plan Committee, 2000—2003.
