Appointed director of Mitani Shoji Kaisha (Trading Company) (1935). Entered Tsuruga Cement Company (1936) but resigned when it was amalgamated into a larger company. Served then as director, manager and managing director of Daido Chemical Industry Company and president Hokuriku Sekkai Kogyo Kaisha (Lime Industry Company) and thereafter became superintendent of Tsuruga Plant of Iwaki Cement Company (1947). When Kaga Cement Company was founded after separation from Iwaki Cement Company assumed his post of senior managing director of that new company (1948). Held various additional posts including those of director of Fukui Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Federation of Japan Employers’ Organizations and member of Fukui Prefectural Labor Relations Board and Fukui Prefectural Public Safety Commission.
