Entered Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Enlisted in the army (1937) and became a 1st lieutenant (1941). Released from the army (1942) and reinstated in Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Appointed Third Secretary of the Japanese Embassy in Germany (1944). Dispatched to America to study (1950) and appointed chief of the Fourth Section of the European and American Bureau of the ministry (1951);chief of the First Section of the Information and Cultural Bureau of the ministry (1950); first secretary assigned to Australia (1953) and chief of the Accounting Section of the ministry (1955).
