Education
He became a disciple of Kuro Hosho, the famous noh actor (1914). After his master's death (1917) became a pupil of the Kuro of the present generation and also received practical coaching from such masters of the noh art as Osa Matsumoto and Kanesuke Noguchi.
Career
In 1915 made his debut on the stage as Chigo (child) in the play titled Kurama Tengu (Long-Nosed Goblin of Mt. Kurama). Played his first leading role (1918) in Iwabune (Rock Ship). Appeared in Dojoji (1940) and then has been successfully played the lead in such plays as Sliakko (Stone Bridge) and Shojoran (Mad Orangutan).
