Svetlana Sarkisyan graduated from the Kursk Pedagogical College (1993), Voronezh School of Music in Vocal Class (1996), Voronezh, State Academy of Arts (2000, class D.V. Gornova) and State University specializing in solo singing (2003, class G.S. Arzamasova-Kalinina).
Performs lyric-coloratura soprano.Diploma-recipient of the 2nd All-Russian Competition of Vocalists named after G. Sviridov (Kursk, 2004).Winner of the International Competition-Festival named after S. Rachmaninova (Tambov, 2005), diploma-recipient of the Vth All-Russian competition between performers of the Russian romance (Vladimir, 2007).
Since 1998, Svetlana Sarkisyan has been engaged in concert activities, collaborating with leading musicians in Kursk. Since 2000, she has been teaching of the vocal department of the Kursk Music College of Boarding for the Blind.
Performs in the romance room of the Philharmonic, in concerts of the symphony orchestra, in concerts of organ music, with the ensemble of folk instruments "Russian Mosaic", with the ensemble of ancient music of the 16th – 18th centuries "Baroque". She prepared several thematic programs, including: "Women’s names are beautiful", "The charm of an old romance", "Russian classic romance", and the children's program "Traveling through music albums".
Diploma-recipient of the II All-Russian Competition of Vocalists named after G.V. Sviridova (2004), laureate of the 1st prize of the vocal competition in the framework of the International Festival. Rachmaninov in the city of Tambov (2005), a diploma winner and special prize winner of the V All-Russian contest of Russian romance performers in the city of Vladimir (2007), laureate of the vocalists contest "Romansiada - 2010" in Moscow (2010), diploma-recipient of the IV International Competition named after G.V. Sviridova (2011).
