Svetlana Velichko

Background

Svetlana was born on February 16, 1937, in Voronezh, Russia. Since 1990 she lives in the USA.

Education

Graduated from the Moscow Conservatory (1961, class of S.E. Feinberg).

Career

Concertmaster of L.B. Kogan (since 1961). Conducted a class of accompanist skills in the Moscow Conservatory (1962-1990). Piano teacher at the University of Alaska.

Achievements

• Has released several CDs with piano records. Founder and director of the Russian Musical Academy in Alaska.
