Career
Emigrated with his parents during the Civil War. Married the writer Zinaida Shakhovskoy, 1926. Participated in the Eurasian movement.
Organized the only Eurasian Congress in Brussels, 1931. Worked in the Belgian Congo before World War II. During the war, moved through Dunkirk to Britain, and joined the Free Belgian Army. After World War II, Belgian diplomat in Bern, and later in Israel.
Secretary of the Belgian Embassy in Moscow, 1956. Wrote a book, SSSR Segodnia i Zavtra, based on his experiences in the 1950s.
