Career
He was minister of state for internal affairs in Third Vajpayee Ministry. He was elected to Lok Sabha from Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh as a Bharatiya Janata Party candidate. He completed Master of Arts from Lucknow University.
He also completed doctorate.
He is the Editor of two monthly magazines, Pramarath and Vivek Rashmi.
