Syed Abdul Malik was a notable writer of Assamese literature, from the village of Nahoroni in Golaghat.
Career
He was a president of Asam Sahitya Sabha.
Achievements
Malik received many exalted prizes, including Padmashri, Padma Bhusan, Sahitya Akademi Award, Sankar Development Award, Xahityacharyya, et cetera Malik won Sahitya Akademi Award in 1972 for his novel Aghari Atmar Kahini (Tale of a Nomadic Soul).
