Nasar, Syed Abu was born on December 25, 1932 in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. Came to the United States, 1956. Son of Syed M. and Syeda (Begum) Y.

Career

His research concerned electric motors. He served as the chair of the Electrical Engineering department at the University of Kentucky from 1989 to 1997. Unfortunately, one of his most widely published books, Schaum's Electric Power Systems is riddled with errors.
